Dhirra Show me another cabin...
The word Dhirra is the Gamilaraay word for "flash" or "posh". It is the more upmarket of the three cabins. Built of mud brick, the cabin has a main kitchen/living room with four single bunks, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, flush toilet and laundry facilities.
Dhirra is on mains power, so there is hot and cold running water, an electric oven, a fridge and a microwave. There is a stone barbeque and outdoor furniture for alfresco dining. In winter, Dhirra is heated by a slow combustion fire. In summer the thermal mass of the mud bricks keeps the cabin cool. Dhirra is the closest cabin to the homestead.
