Yurrula
means "in the bush" which describes this cabin very well. It is
literally a stones throw from the National Park. In the saddle between
two mountains, the cabin has a good area of flat ground with a well
equipped campfire. It is about five hundred metres from the main house.
The road to the cabin is a bit rugged so if you don't have a four wheel
drive there is an old landrover you can borrow to get you up and down.
Yurrula is a cosy one room mud brick cabin with a verandah. Inside
there are four single bunks, a kitchen bench with a cold water tap,
dining table and chairs and a pot belly stove. Lighting is by candles
or the gas lamp. Yurrula is most suited to people who like to hang
around for awhile and get close to nature. Most of your cooking will be
done around the campfire but if there are fire restrictions there is a
double gas ring burner provided. To keep your food cool there is a
coolgardie safe. There is a bucket shower in a tree and an outside
toilet a bit further away. If your party is bigger than four there is a
plywood caravan that sleeps another two, or you can pitch a tent. We
like to describe Yurrula as "luxury camping".
